Benchmarking anion-exchange membranes for electrocatalytic carbon monoxide reduction

چکیده

Performing carbon monoxide reduction in membrane electrode assembly configuration (MEA) is critical to achieving a high reaction rate while reducing cell resistance. Most studies examine the role of cathode on product selectivity and stability, comparatively little attention has been given impact performance. This study demonstrates that properties such as water uptake, ion-exchange capacity, functional groups alter liquid selectivity. Interestingly, we show ethanol crossover conjunction with suitable anode (NiFeOx) tunes acetate Overall, significantly affect stability configuration.
